Paolo Spalla signs this pair of 18-karat gold ginkgo leaf earrings from the 1970s, marked 750 on the reverse. The double-lobed ginkgo leaf was a favorite naturalistic motif in Italian goldsmithing of the period. Each earring pairs two leaves with fine ridged veining across a brushed gold surface, and a round brilliant diamond sits bezel-set at the base of each pair. French lever backs make them comfortable, sitting close and light against the earlobe.
