A 14-karat gold brooch from the 1940s pairs a fluted disc with a sculptural bow, pavé-set with 0.50 carats of antique cut diamonds. Bow and ribbon forms worked in gold were a signature of Retro-era design in that decade. The disc's surface is finely fluted, radiating in even ridges from the center. At 1.75 inches long, the brooch sits comfortably on a lapel or scarf without overwhelming either.
