Vintage Wachler 17K Gold Egyptian Revival Cartouche and Diamond Stud Earrings

Wachler's 1990s cartouche earrings pair textured 17-karat gold with round brilliant diamonds, 0.20 carats total across the pair, set at the base of each panel. The cartouche form takes its name from the French for "cartridge," the term Egyptologists use for the oval frame enclosing hieroglyphic names. Each panel carries a hand-engraved hieroglyph motif in a brushed finish, framed by a polished gold border. A post-and-clip back lets the pair switch between pierced and clip wear, keeping them close to the earlobe.
