Round diamonds, rubies, and sapphires trace an interlocking X and infinity motif on this 1970s two-tone gold ring. Two crossing white gold bands carry the colored stones across a solid yellow gold shank. Combining yellow and white gold within one design was a common technique in mid-twentieth-century jewelry, pairing warm and cool tones in a single setting. The band narrows slightly toward the back, keeping the ring comfortable despite its sculptural front profile.
