Round brilliant diamonds pavé-set in white gold for teardrop drop of these 1980s gold chain-link earrings, weighing approximately 0.60 carats total. Above the drop, bold oval links carry the eye downward to the sparkle, giving the earrings a fluid, sculptural movement. Oval link chains like this were a hallmark of 1980s gold jewelry design, and these were most likely converted into drop earrings from a necklace. At two inches long, the drop swings freely from the ear, giving the earrings a lively motion suited to evening wear.
