These David Webb clip-on earrings set 3.35 carats of round brilliant diamonds in platinum against twisted, rope-textured 18-karat gold, dating to the 1960s. Diamond clusters cross the gold in a repeating diamond-shaped lattice, with each cluster set in platinum for brighter contrast against the yellow gold. The ribbed gold surface gives the earrings a sculptural, tactile quality.
