Five marquise-cut rhodolite garnets in medium purplish red, weighing 2.05 carats total, line the front of this 14-karat yellow gold bangle from the 1970s. Four round brilliant-cut diamonds sit between them, alternating color and sparkle across the bangle's flat front panel. Rhodolite garnet gets its purplish-red hue from a blend of pyrope and almandine garnet within its crystal structure. The octagonal silhouette gives the bangle a substantial, architectural profile that wears well alone or stacked with other bracelets.
