Each stone sits in its own openwork rose gold basket, and the baskets link together so the line bends easily with movement. Rubies and sapphires are the same mineral, corundum, and only the red variety takes the name ruby. The stones step up in size toward the front, which puts the yellows and greens at the collarbone, and the supple line lies flat along the neckline.
