An Italian basketweave bracelet in 18-karat yellow and white gold, made in the 1990s, with round brilliant diamonds pavé-set across its clasp. Ribbed links alternate warm yellow and cool white gold in a tight over-under weave that flexes with the wrist. Italy's goldsmithing centers built their late-twentieth-century reputation on woven and mesh goldwork of this kind. Broad enough to wear as a statement cuff on its own, it closes with a flush box clasp that keeps the weave running unbroken around the wrist.
