Vintage 14K Jaeger Le Coultre Marquise Dial Brown Leather Strap Watch

A LeCoultre cocktail watch in fourteen-karat yellow gold, dating to the 1950s, with a marquise-shaped case and a silver dial. Sculptural bowtie lugs flare from both sides of the case and taper down into the brown leather strap, giving the piece its architecture. LeCoultre-signed watches were the North American line of the Swiss house, built on the same hand-wound calibers as their European counterparts, and this one runs on the manual-wind K490/BW. Narrow and close-fitting, it wears as a dress watch and slips under a cuff without catching.
