A pear-shaped sky blue topaz of 8.79 carats centers this 14-karat white gold cocktail ring, flanked by pavé diamonds on both shoulders. The diamonds sweep around the stone in curved, petal-like panels, and scrolled openwork is cut into the gallery beneath it. The pear shape, often called a teardrop, joins one rounded end to a single point. The topaz sits high above a shank that tapers toward the back, giving the ring cocktail-scale presence on the hand while the slim underside stays comfortable between the fingers.
