A Gruen Curvex Precision watch in fourteen-karat gold, dating to the 1940s. The rectangular case follows Gruen's signature Curvex build, curved lengthwise to sit against the wrist, paired with a silvered dial, gold-tone numerals, and a small seconds subdial. Gruen introduced the Curvex line in the 1930s with a curved movement built to match the case's curvature, a design uncommon among rectangular watches of that decade. Fitted with a later black leather strap, the watch sits close to the wrist and reads as a clean vintage dress piece.
