Vintage 1950's Hamilton Art Deco 14k Diamond Staircase Lady's Wristwatch

Hamilton introduced the "Staircase" in the 1950s as one of its named ladies' dress references, and the case explains the name: the shoulders step upward from the lugs in graduated tiers, each row set with single-cut diamonds in the fourteen-karat white gold surround. The caliber 750 manual-wind movement is a seventeen-jewel Hamilton ladies' caliber from the same decade, reliable and hand-wound by the crown. The silvered dial carries six Arabic numerals and six metal dot indices, keeping the face open and readable inside a compact fifteen-by-twenty-millimeter case. Mounted on a nylon cord bracelet with stainless steel hardware and a fold-over clasp, it wears as a slim dress watch. The engraving on the back reads "8-10-54" and "M.C."
