Vintage 1960s 17K Gold 10ct Amethyst Swiss Helvetia Cameo & Pearl Pendant Brooch

A deep purple amethyst of approximately 10 carats, carved with a profile portrait of Helvetia, centers this 1960s gold pendant brooch ringed with 32 pearls. Helvetia is the female figure who personifies Switzerland. The back of the stone is faceted, which sends light up through the frosted carving. A pierced gold frame of leaf-shaped openings sits between the amethyst and the pearls. A pin and a folding bail on the reverse let it wear pinned at the lapel or hung from a chain as a pendant. Comes with a 10 Rappen Switzerland coin from 2020.
