Vintage Australian Opal and Diamond Cluster Earrings 17K Gold Earrings

Oval Australian opals cluster three to an ear across this pair of Mid-Century 17-karat gold earrings, with blue and orange flashes moving through each domed stone. Round brilliant diamonds are prong-set at the center where the three opals meet. Opal's play-of-color comes from microscopic silica spheres inside the stone that diffract light into those shifting flashes. French lever backs close flat behind the lobe, and the clusters sit close and wide enough to carry a look on their own.
