Vintage Chanel 18K Gold 31 Rue Cambon Paris Medallion Pendant Charm

This vintage 1980s Chanel medallion pendant in 18 karat yellow gold reads like a calling card: “Chanel, 31 Rue Cambon, Paris,” raised above the interlocking CC. The disc’s edge rolls in an irregular line instead of a perfect circle.

31 Rue Cambon is where Gabrielle Chanel moved her couture house in 1918. She kept her private apartment upstairs, and the building is still the house’s Paris home today. The inscription stands out in soft relief against the polished field around it. A broad loop bail, made as part of the disc, takes a substantial chain and lets the medallion hang flat and centered. The piece is stamped 750, the European mark for 18 karat gold.
