Vintage Pierre Cardin 16K Yellow Gold Diamond Feather Brooch

This Pierre Cardin botanical brooch is made in 16-karat yellow gold, with eight round brilliant diamonds set across a spray of finely textured leaves. The leaves curve and taper to points, giving the spray a sculptural lift off the surface. Foliate spray brooches were a mainstay of mid-century design, worked in textured gold that breaks up the shine. The long curved stem sets it at an angle on a lapel or coat collar, and at over two inches it carries a shoulder on its own.
