These Ted Muehling pine cone dangle earrings are made in 18-karat yellow gold, with overlapping domed scales under a soft matte finish. Each scale hangs on a small ball-tipped pin, so the cone articulates and shifts with every turn of the head. Muehling is a New York designer whose work takes its shapes from nature. Long French hook ear wires let the clusters hang well below the lobe, giving them the length and supple movement of a statement earring.
